About this exchange rate data
Rates are sourced from the European Central Bank's daily reference rates via the Frankfurter API, a free public service built on official ECB data. The ECB publishes updated reference rates once each business day, typically around 16:00 CET (weekends and ECB holidays keep the previous rate).
These are mid-market reference rates — the midpoint between buy and sell prices — not the rate a bank, card network, or money transfer service will actually give you. Real-world providers add their own margin and fees on top, so use this tool to understand roughly where the market stands, not as a quote for an actual transaction.
